Electropollution, Microwaves, and the effect of Electrical Fields around the body

It's remarkably difficult to find websites or even printed information on the electrical body - most of these are on the effect of microwave radiation - so the view os pathological rather than "how the body works", which is how I would like to approach the issue. Nevertheless, very useful information. Most URL's supplied to me by Nigel Hargreaves, who kindly allowed me to read his Homoeopathy thesis "Miasms and the microwave threat to human health from mobile phones". See Hummingbird-One site for more on health and the EM spectrum ...

  • EMF Guru News and scientific analysis of mobile phone radiation, campaigns and related electropollution issues - in particular, see articles by Dr. Cyril Smith, and Dr. G J Hyland. You could almost say that this site is a pastiche of the WWW, because it's appallingly difficult to navigate, and you'll have to spend a lot of time to find the gems amongst the inane. Nevertheless ... (guru) ... it's better to light a candle than to curse the darkness ...

  • IMPORTANT NEWS The latest UK government scientific report on mobile phones is being seen as a major step forward worldwide in the recognition of potential biohazards from EM radiation - particularly microwave radiation. Pester your MP to ensure that it gets followed up and not diluted by apathy or pure commercial interest... We're all passive recipients of microwaves, whether we use a mobile phone or not. I'd also suggest you consider cooking without a microwave cooker - ESPECIALY food for children!

He found normal levels, however, in people working under full-spectrum tubes. Based on the research of Dr. Hollwich and others, the cool-white fluorescent bulb is legally banned in German hospitals and medical facilities."

These devices accept incoming EM frequencies, and convert them to some biologically inert or beneficial frequency - this is done using a ceramic crystalline lattice with specific EM emission profile. I suspect that these will enhance Schumann frequencies, (7-14 Hz) or the next octave up (about 3 GHz). The first device of this kind was invented by Dr Yeo, and is called a Pulsor - no web link available yet, but you could try http://www.toolsforenergy.com Nikken also produce a similar ceramic which takes body heat and re-emits it at far-Infra-Red frequencies. This material is spectacularly effective for any kind of tissue healing or detooxing, and also expensive. - Also see Bodyspark (below)

Magnets for healing

The use of permanent magnets for healing has increased substantially over the past 10 years, with MLM companies such as Bioflow now expanding out into hospitals. Extremely powerful Magnetic fields (of the order of 1 to 10 Tesla) are used for MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). To give you a sense of scale, 1 Tesla = 10000 Gauss. The strongest commercially available Neodymium permanent health magnets produce a field of about 0.2 Tesla next to their surface - safer strengths (typical of a largish FeOX ceramic magnet) are of the order 0.05T (500 Gauss). The following points are worth considering :

  1. Different poles of a magnet have different effects. The pole which attracts the North (Red) pole of a compass is usually termed the "North" or "Positive" pole, and the side which attracts the South end of a compass is usually termed the "South" or "Negative" Pole. This might seem trivial, but some conventions vary, and distinguishing between these two poles is vital if you are using magnets for health purposes. The Positive pole is very aggressive, and will cause skin irritation, local tissue acidity, internal odema, and cell proliferation(!) if used for more than a few minutes. It also can stimulate bacterial growth. The Negative pole has a softer characteristic, and appears to be totally beneficial for physical healing purposes, since it creates alkaline tissue conditions (and most Westerners are excessively acid). When testing - don't take the compass too close to a powerful magnet, because it could permanently reverse the compass polarity - which could also mess up you walking holiday!
  2. If you experiment with a fairly strong magnet, you can learn to detect which pole is which by scanning a finger a few millimeters away from each end and comparing the sensations. The positive pole feels far more fizzy, and like a bump, whereas the Negative pole feels smoother and like a dip.
  3. Permanent Magnets (i.e. WITHOUT an alternating field) appear to work medically in several different ways. The following have been demonstrated in various experiments :
    1. they locally dampen high frequencies, thus making lower EM frequencies more dominant. This is (in my humble opinion) not necessarily a good thing if overused - put is great for short-term (say over several weeks) PHYSICAL healing, and is best with less intensive use (e.g. several hours per day, over several days per week). This dampening effect releases energy as heat, which may also be an important factor.
    2. they decrease blood viscosity, and so increase blood flow in capilliaries.
    3. they alter acid/alkaline electrolyte balance in the tissues - see above. This may come about because a magnetic field will alter ion exchange rates across cell membranes. Permanent magnets appear to increase cell membrane ion pumping efficiency, thus enhancing cell metabolism. This can also produce a substantial detoxing effect.
    4. they also can produce spin frequencies in Hydrogen ions - see below
  4. From MRI theory, magnetism affects the precessed spin frequency of ions with odd numbers of protons - in the case of the human body, this means Hydrogen (dominant by a factor of about 1000 over the other isotopes usually present). With a Gyromagnetic Ratio of 42.58MHz/Tesla, spin frequencies will vary substantially according to the STRENGTH of the applied magnetic field. This MAY explain why (e.g.) Aluminium workers have a relatively high (but not massively high) increased cancer rate - IF it is the induced frequency which is pathological, rather than the magnetism itself. The "safe" standard being set at present for maximim EM exposure is of the order of 0.4mGauss, giving a spin frequency of the order of 200Hz or less. I would suspect that maximum pathological damage would be caused by a magnetic field strength which produced a spin frequency which coincides with another dominant external EM field - e.g. Mains (50 or 60Hz), or which takes the brain out of Alpha state (i.e. creates a driving frequency which encourages neural activity to remain in the relatively stressed Beta state at times when it would otherwise not be). I also suspect that there are specific frequencies which are vital to the rest of the body via the Autonomic Nervous System. My maths and physics is not up to the task of calculating this for alternating magnetic fields, but I also could see that certain EM frequencies would have a field strength band which would resonate with their signal - causing maximum EM effect on anything containing Hydrogen ions. I repeat that this is not necessarily a high strength field - in fact, higher strength fields may be locally safer than intermediate strength fields - but will always produce critical intermediate strength fields at some distance from their source. I'm not sure what effect this phenomenon would have at higher frequencies (e.g. Microwave) - is there someone out there who can do the calculations?
  5. The Geomagnetic field is approximately 6e-5Tesla (0.6 Gauss), giving a spin frequency of about 2555Hz. The present-day geomagnetic field intensity is approximately 1% of its geological maximum. In order to magnetically induce precessed spins of 15Hz or greater (i.e. Brainwave frequencies in the Beta range), EMF's of between 0.35 and (say) 2.0 microTesla are required. It is interesting that most studies so far (?) show that damage tends to occur more for exposures in excess of 0.3 microTesla.
